History

Busch Electronics was founded in 1978 by Bob Busch as a sales agency whose initial focus was infrared heating and electronic control of heating systems. The success of Busch Electronics in its early years was intertwined with that of industry pioneers such as Research Incorporated, Control Concepts, Heraeus Noblelight, and others. In the years since, our principals have changed, but electric heating of industrial processes has always been our mainstay.

Although we still act as an independent sales agency we are also a distributor of industrial components, a business that we entered in the 1990s. Our intent is to search the world to bring you technologically unique, high quality, competitively priced products and services that will help you make your job a little easier.

Our Customers

Our customers are engaged in: maintenance, repair, and operations; process development; original equipment manufacturing; and institutional and corporate research and development. Our customers' industries and markets include foundry operations, cabinet manufacturing, plastics processing and manufacturing, metals processing and fabrication, chemical engineering, food processing, and medical device manufacturing among others.

Where We Are, What We Do

We cover the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin for the lines we represent and distribute. One of our business goals is to become a stocking distributor that you can rely on for rapid service. As such, we will stock parts that you use regularly. In addition, we believe that the role of a distributor is not to act solely as an "order taker" for our principals. Rather, it is our intent to be a technical resource that both our principals and customers can rely on. Additionally, we understand that a distributor is an inventory buffer for manufacturers who find it difficult to gain demand visibility.

Location

Since our inception, we have been located in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area. We are currently centrally located in the Midway neighborhood of St. Paul, which is geographically central to the metro area.
